Ah, it’s that time of year again… Valentine’s Day. A day dedicated for couples to snuggle up with one another, go on a romantic date, and give each other cheesy gifts. But Valentine’s Day isn’t JUST for couples — why not celebrate the love in your friendships?? This blog post is dedicated to all the beautiful gals out there in celebration of Galentine’s Day. Keep reading for some fun ideas you can do to celebrate with your girlfriends this weekend!
Gather your girls and take them out for a relaxing day at the spa! Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times (especially during Valentine’s Day), so why not have a special time dedicated to some unwinding and pampering alongside good company? Not sure where to go? The family of Kelly Nguyen, our lovely friend, owns a business called Pamper Nails & Spa — you can check out their Facebook page here! Whether you decide to get a relaxing massage, cleansing facial, or have your nails shaped and painted with the cutest color/design(s), just know that it can be very therapeutic to treat yo’selves every now and then. 😉
When in doubt — have a sleepover! Sleepovers are always fun. Who can say no to a classic game of “Truth or Dare,” a Twilight marathon (yes, this is Lellian writing this section, lol), doing each other’s nails, or having deep “life” talks with your girlfriends late into the night? The possibilities are endless (and the nights can be, too!). Sleepovers are great for a chill and carefree time catching up with your girlfriends that you haven’t seen in forever. They were fun back in the day, but who says they aren’t just as fun when we’re older?!
Galentine’s photos by the best — Mouy Bun. Show her some love for Valentine’s Day here!
& shout-out to our bestie, Darly, and her man for letting us takeover their room for this shoot! ❤
CHICK FLICKS & WINE
Can’t get your man to watch a cheesy rom-com or chick flick with you? That’s what your ladies are for! Grab some snacks, pop your favorite bottle of wine, and get ready to laugh and cry together (unless you’re Sophia who has yet to cry watching a movie. She probably doesn’t have a soul tbh). Here are just a few of our recommendations for a girls’ movie night in!
And basically any movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, duh.
Also in theaters right now is The Greatest Showman and Fifty Shades Freed if you don’t want to stay in!
We ladies all share one thing in common – our love for food. Who loves eating in-between meals and calling it brunch more than we do?? Our good friend Ashley Chung shares a couple of her favorite places that she can always count on for a good meal. You can take her word for it – she’s a Yelp Elite for Minneapolis!
For Brunch, Ashley recommends Martina in Minneapolis. By the looks of her photo, you have a variety of foods to choose from to satisfy any craving you could possibly have mid-morning. Although my next problem would be deciding!!
Or, if you ladies prefer dinner, Ashley’s favorite spot is Revival in Minneapolis. Indulge in phenomenal comfort food with your girlfriends. What girl doesn’t love her fried chicken?

No matter how you’re celebrating this Valentine’s whether it be with your special someone, girlfriends, or having some quality “me” time for yourself – never forget that you are loved every single day. We absolutely love and adore every one of our followers! It’s been over a year now that we’ve started this blog and you guys continue to shower us with love and support — thank you!
Happy Valentine’s/Galentine’s from your favorite With Meraki duo! ❤
